Production

We produce our own linseed oil paint based on Swedish cold pressed boiled linseed oil and colour pigments. The linseed oil paint we produce is intended for both house painting and art purposes.

Linseed oil paint has been traditionally used in Sweden for several hundred years and is suitable for application both indoors and outdoors on wood, metal and plaster substrates.

The factory

With its sedum roof, wind powered ventilation and geothermal heating, our factory on Kontoristgatan is unique. The factory façade consists of handmade bricks dating from 1852 and the wooden panels and plaster, both inside and out, have been painted using linseed oil paints

Linseed oil paint production techniques

The production of linseed oil paint involves finely grinding colour pigments together with linseed oil. Different pigments require different treatment.

Environmentally friendly production

We are able to boast an extremely enviromentally friendly production. No effluent discharge is produced either into the earth or into the air and all sheet metal and combustables are sorted at source. All tools, pots and brushes are washed in a special building. With the help of sedimentation, only 200 litres of  water from washing and 30 litres of sludge per year require further treatment. And all this from an annual production of approx. 80 tons of linseed oil paint.
